When is my annual due? Every recurring inspection, in one place.
Enter when each inspection was last signed off and the hours on the aircraft. You get the last day each one is current, and how many hours are left to the 100-hour. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How each date is worked out
Annual (91.409(a)). Within the preceding 12 calendar months, so it runs to the last day of the 12th month after the month it was signed off. An annual on 15 March is good through 31 March of the following year. Doing it early in the month buys you nothing; doing it in the last days of the month costs you nothing.
100-hour (91.409(b)). Required when the aircraft carries anyone for hire, or is used for flight instruction for hire and the instructor provides it. It is due 100 hours after the last one, by tach or Hobbs, whichever your records use. You may fly up to 10 hours past it only to reach a place where it can be done, and those hours come off the next interval.
Transponder (91.413) and altimeter and static system (91.411). Both within the preceding 24 calendar months. The static system check is needed to fly IFR in controlled airspace; the transponder check is needed to use the transponder at all.
ELT (91.207(d)). Inspected within the preceding 12 calendar months. Its battery has a separate replacement date, marked on the unit by the manufacturer.
Airworthiness directives and life-limited components follow their own schedules, by date, hours or cycles. Volo tracks those against the aircraft's real hours as flights are logged.
Questions
- Does an annual count as a 100-hour?
- Yes. An annual inspection meets the 100-hour requirement and resets the 100-hour count. A 100-hour does not count as an annual.
- My aircraft is not rented. Do I need a 100-hour?
- Not if it is used only privately. A 100-hour is required when the aircraft carries anyone for hire, or when an instructor provides it for flight instruction for hire. Renting it to other pilots or to a school usually brings it in.
- Can I fly the aircraft after the annual runs out?
- Not without a special flight permit. An aircraft out of annual is not airworthy.
- Tach or Hobbs for the 100-hour?
- The regulation says time in service, and many owners use the tach. Use whichever your maintenance records use, and keep to it.
A planning aid, not legal advice. The regulations, your aircraft's records and your instructor or mechanic have the final word.
Let Volo watch the dates and the hours for you.
Volo tracks the annual, the 100-hour, ADs and components against the aircraft's real hours, lets pilots you approve book it, and bills them from the hours flown.
